Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan deny marriage rumours

18 Aug – Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou and his lady love, Hannah Quinlivan, recently debunked rumours saying that they have already registered their marriage.

As reported on China News, despite Jay's earlier announcement that he will get married before his 36th birthday in January next year, a source claiming to be his neighbour shared that the musician has actually registered his marriage to the 21-year-old model back in May.

The neighbour also claimed that the couple has been living together in Jay's apartment.

However, his recording label JVR Music denied the rumours, saying that Jay will not keep his wedding a secret.

"He never breaks his promise and the staffs here have not received any notification about his wedding preparations," said the singer's representative.

Meanwhile, a friend of Jay's said that his marriage announcement back in June would have been a ridiculous move if he was already married in May.

On the other hand, Hannah's manager dismissed rumours of cohabitation and stressed that the model lives in her own home, adding that sometimes her sister would stay with her as well.
