This particular ice kachang was recommended by an elderly couple that we met and chatted. We met that couple when we happened to share the same table in one of the food centres at Toa Payoh. They were telling us that this probably the cheaper and nicest ice kachang in Singapore for the price of $1.00.We were there slightly after 2pm, there was still a queue of about 5 people waiting to order or waiting for their orders. We joined in and waited for about 15 minutes to get our ice kachang for $1.2

We were there slightly after 2pm, there was still a queue of about 5 people waiting to order or waiting for their orders. We joined in and waited for about 15 minutes to get our ice kachang for $1.20. The price has been increased from $1.00 to $1.20 but it is still worth the every cent as the ice kachang presented is the biggest and tallest that i ever tried.

What made it different from others gotta be the texture of the ice. It tasted like those type of snow ice in Taiwan. The texture of the shaved ice was very fine, very smooth and very soft. It melted in your mouth effortlessly and almost immediately once entered. It tasted rather milky with a well-balanced sweetness. The ingredients found beneath the pile of ice were the usual red beans, attap seeds, jelly cubes and sweet corns.

I have fallen in love with what i tasted and will definitely be back.
