Shenzhen Baoan International Airport 深圳宝安国际机场 (IATA: SZX ICAO: ZGSZ) is one of the top 100 airports in the world, one of China’s 12 major trunk airports, one of China’s four major air cargo centers, and an international hub airport.
It is located in Bao’an District to the northwest of the city center and connected to the metro network via line 11 and line 1 (via shuttle bus).
The airport has recently completed a major renovation with the opening of T3 (Terminal 3) which currently has 2 runways and servicing 188 routes including 154 domestic routes, 4 routes from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 30 international routes. To eliminate confusion, there is no T1 or T2 although, soon there will be a new Terminal 4 to add extra capacity to the airport.
The airport is super-modern, easy to transit through, and has a wide range of amenities, cafes, and stores.

Getting to and from the Shenzhen Airport
Metro
Metro Line 11 (Airport Express)
Line 11 is the Airport Express Line Connecting Airport Station through to Futian Station. The metro station is inside the actual airport terminal and it is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Bao’an, Nanshan, and Futian CBD. At Futian Station, you can take high speed rail services to Guangzhou and Hong Kong, more here.
Example journey: From Airport to Futian Station would take 30 minutes and cost 7 yuan for a standard ticket or 21 yuan for a business class ticket.

Metro Line 1 (Lubao Line)
Line 1 offers a lot more station choices that line 11 and also continues all the way to Louhu, albeit at a slower pace. At Louhu Station you can take trains to Guangzhou and also cross the border into Hong Kong, more here.

Taxi
For taxi head to the east side of the second floor to the Ground Transportation Center.
There are three kinds of taxis in Shenzhen: green, red and pure electric taxis. Red and pure electric taxis can operate in the whole city. Green taxis can only operate outside the original special zone. Soon all taxis will be electric and operate freely in all districts.

By Ferry
Shenzhen Airport Fuyong Terminal is located at the southwest corner of Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, only 2 kilometers away from the new terminal and is connected via a free shuttle bus service.
The ferry journey takes about 70 minutes to Macau and about 40 minutes to Hong Kong Airport Terminal (Skypier).

Car Parking
There is ample car parking available at the airport and it is charged as such: 10 yuan for the first hour, 2 yuan after the first hour. / hour; continuous parking time exceeds 24 hours, then add 3 yuan/hour; the maximum daily fee is 50 yuan.
Large Vehicles: 20 yuan for the first hour, 4 yuan/hour since the first hour; continuous parking time more than 24 hours, then add 6 yuan/hour; the maximum daily charge is 100 yuan.
If the parking time of the motor vehicle does not exceed 15 minutes, the parking fee for the motor vehicle will be waived.
