Introduction To The A.I.
The A.I in Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Clone Campaigns (Swgbcc) can seem like a difficult opponent for those first entering the game. However, utilizing this guide to its full extent will help you crush all that oppose your civilization. This section is going to introduce the different difficulties and define key points about A.I. strategies.

*****Notice! This guide will most likely not work against real people! (Because they are smarter than the game's A.I, at least I would hope that they are.)

Very Easy Mode
A.I. Strategies

In Very Easy mode, the A.I rarely, if ever, attacks a non-computer player. Mostly the A.I attack each other. The research levels of the opponent's units are very low, and they don't even go up to the max tech level. This a great gamemode for those who wish to learn how the game functions and works. Using Very Easy Mode as a stepping stone to other difficulties is a great idea.

Example Gungan Base

Timespan

In my experience, Very Easy games last for less than 1 hour, depending on how aggressive the player is in attacking other civilizations.
Easy Mode
A.I. Strategies

In Easy Mode, there is a major difference. The A.I will start attacking your base. While these attacks may not be threatening, they are good preparation for the difficulties to come. During the match, the A.I will most likely send over a small squad of troopers and/or melee troopers. Little resistance is needed to quell any of these raids. The Computer will keep up the attacks until: A: they just stop, or B: they are attacked by another player and use their troops to repell their enemy. This also marks the first major appearance of mechs and heavy weapons in the A.I's attacks. This gamemode would be good to plan out base attack strategies, as the A.I has built up more of its base this time.

An example of a late Easy Mode raiding force from the first campaign mission of the Trade Federation.

Timespan

Usually these games can last around 1&1/2 to 2 hours. Of course, this also depends on how aggressive the player is.
Moderate Mode
A.I. Strategies

Be very careful on Moderate Mode! The transition from Easy to Moderate is the hardest difficulty transition in the game. At the start of the mission, the A.I is going to start building their base, and no matter what civiliazation it is, they will always build thirteen troopers for an attack force. The troopers may come attack you very eary on, so be prepared. If or When you survive the preliminary attack, you must make sure that your resources are never stretched too thin. The A.I. is going to be more aggressive in Moderate, building starfighters and creating large invasion forces. The computer will send multiple attacks to weaken its opponent, and will only stop if you cut them off, or they are under attack. I would suggest allying yourself with another civilization, and not starting out with eight civilizations on your first Moderate game. I have singled out two A.I stages in Moderate. There is stage 1, which consists of basic buildings and resource gathering. And stage 2, which is when the A.I starts using Tech 2 units. If you are trying to get an early lead, try attacking before they hit stage 2.

A fight between the Empire and the Rebellion

Timespan

I have spent most of my time on Moderate, and have seen a wide variety of times, but all of times average around 1&1/2-2 hours for experienced players and 2 hours or more for newbies. Don't worry if your first Moderate battle takes a long time! That is natural, and you will get faster.
Hard Mode
A.I. Strategies

This is close to the big one. If you though Moderate was hard, you were wrong. Hard Mode is a completely different playing field. Advancing through the tech levels like lightning, the A.I. is truly a formidable foe. To start off, the A.I. is going to build 6 troopers and send them after another civilization. Here is how the A.I. decides what civilization to go after in order of most importance.

1. You are first on the leaderboard
2. You are discovered by their scouts and deemed a threat
3. You are in last (Yes, they attack people in last because they believe that they will be an easy target to take out.)
4. The A.I. just decides to attack you because you are a neighbor or opponent of sorts

****Key Note: 99% of the time, the A.I. will immediately turn to enemy status if you start the game with your civilization and a computer-controlled one as allies.

After they rocket through the techs, the A.I will start by sending out large invasion forces. Airstrikes will come at random depending on who you're up against, and air cruisers will now be built and used to raid bases. This gamemode is really all about building up your army very quickly. If you don't do that, you will be pummeled.

****Another Key Note: Be careful when deciding not to assign teams, because the all of the computer players can team up and take you out in a single move.

A large group of rebel troops used for overwhelming foes

Timespan

My first Hard Mode took me 5 hours. While that does seem very long, I did get better and reduce my times. A new Hard Mode player would take around the same time that I did. However, an experienced player will be well under the 5 hour mark, but it is hard to give an exact time because everyone has a different playstyle.
Very Hard Mode
A.I. Strategies

This is it, the big one. Welcome to the hardest difficulty in Star Wars Galactic Battegrounds Clone Campaigns. This gamemode is very similar to Hard Mode, but it differs in a few key points. The A.I will follow the same pattern as Hard Mode, but it will start advancing through techs earlier and faster. Also, the A.I. has a greater emphasis on technology and research, and will try to max out every single research option. When attempting this, it is extremely recommended that you know what you are doing. Massive invasion forces will continue to come your way, unless you can push them back.

The Trade Federation attacks the Wookiees

Timespan

I would say that Very Hard Mode will take a little bit longer than Hard Mode. I have survived a substantial amount of time in this gamemode, but I usually get wiped out near the end around 4 hours. I would still say 5 or more hours for newbies, and less than 5 for experienced players
Tips and Tricks
Overview

This section will teach you some easy ways to advance fast in the game. While it may be short, always remember how Yoda said, "Size Matters Not."

Farming

I have found that this is the most reliable method of farming. Using one worker per farm, this allows for no interruptions when your workers go to deposit their food. Plus, an animal shelter in the center is a great way to use that empty space. Also, there is enough enough room for an Anti-Air battery if it is needed.

Nerfs/Natural Food sources

Some people prefer to kill all of the nerfs/banthas at the start of the game, but it is actually more beneficial to keep them, instead of killing them. You can end up almost having 200 food per minute if you keep them in an animal shelter near the higher tech levels! That's right, it's okay to be a nerf herder.

Easy Building

Tired of having to constantly click and reclick for prefab shelters? Then I have a solution for you. By holding down shift as click a building, you can easily place multiple copies instead of having to go thorugh the building menu 500 times! (This works for all buildings)

Advanced Patrols and Scouting

By holding shift when selecting a scout or patrol unit, you can plan out long and complicated paths that aren't just straight. Instead of patroling a small area of your base, you can patrol the whole base! I find that the advanced patrol area is very useful for starfighters, because they move very fast. For scouting, you can just shift click the mini map at the bottom of your screen to give directions. It just that easy.

****Key Point: Remember to press the normal unit move button after shift clicking, because your units won't move if you don't do so.

Fortress Siege Tactics

Fortresses can only attack one land and one air unit at a time, so the easiest way to defeat them is to get a sizable amount of pummels or other strong units and pound the fortress until it goes down.

Nova Collection

The easiest way to get nova is to collect holocrons. But be warned! The A.I. pays more attention to holocrons in hard mode, so you have to be fast to get them first.

Having A Hard Time?

Try playing without fog of war, or starting out with a higher resource amount.

The A.I. and Cheating
Now some of you might be asking? Does the A.I. cheat at all in this game. The answer is really yes and no. In difficulties of Moderate and below, the A.I. does not cheat for resources. In fact, the A.I. actually gets a decrease in how fast their workers are trained. (Need Confirmation)

However in difficulties above Moderate, the A.I. does cheat for resources. The "Hard" A.I. in the game gets 500 resources every 10 minutes, and the "Hardest" A.I. get resources with every tech level advance as well. (Again Need Confirmation) This is a drastically different experience when playing against a cheating A.I., as it makes the player work faster and try to build up more powerful units.

I'm a bit late to this thread but I do have a piece of advice if you're wanting to go cruisers and the enemy builds AA turrets. Although they out-range cruisers with upgrades you can use the "attack ground" command a bit further away and kill them with splash damage.

Hope this helps, it certainly helped me as a kid with some of the campaign missions.

So, I've been watching this game for a while. I didn't notice when it happened, but it randomly bumped the resource levels of nova and ore up to above 1000 each. Possibly once it reached tech level 2

So. There's a trick I used to see some things about the Hardest difficulty A!.
I did a standard game, made it a small map, and two random civilizations. I set my own civilizations "name" setting to computer so it's two AI civs facing each other.
With standard resource settings, the AI Galactic empire civ that it ended up on had these starting resources.
Carbon:800
Food: 750 (it might have cued a villager before I paused it)
Nova: 700
Ore: 850

in my experience, in easy mode an enemy raiding force will always attack when you reach tech level 2

Hey, for anyone interested, I managed to beat three hard computers together in a 1v3. Just uploaded it today to my Baldur's Kitchen youtube channel.

@Captain Coo hi-Minh, probably using T4 cannons as multiple cannons can fire on a single wall segment to breach it. For generally decimating a wall you could consider using workers with attack programming at T4 - if they're not under fire; Pummels; Reeks. I guess there are only so many pummels you can use to attack a single wall segment - which is why I like to attack the gates, as they're longer. I guess you could always drop pummels onto the other side of the wall too with an air transport so you can attack a single segment from both sides - but that seems a bit overkill.
