Nasi Lemak Bungkus 🇲🇾 辣死你妈

Nasi lemak bungkus is a very common local delicacy in Malaysia especially Kedah. These small triangle packaging are easily spotted in food stalls along the road, wet market, mamak restaurants and even shopping malls.

"Nasi" means rice, "lemak" means creamy due to coconut milk and "bungkus" simply means wrap up. The ingredients for nasi lemak bungkus varies but the most typical type which the locals favor is... Santan rice with crispy anchovies and boiled egg topped with hot spicy sweet chilli sambal 😍😍😍 Nasi lemak taste best serving HOT. The fragrance while unwrapping the banana leaf is so irresistible that sometimes we "unconsciously" gobbled down a few packs in one go! 😜

I personally prefer nasi lemak bungkus in Kedah because of the kuah banjir (full of gravvy). That way I can enjoy the thick coconut milk and spiciness on every single grain! ❤ Another plus point is nasi lemak bungkus are sold at only RM 1 per pack here in Kedah!

It is a simple, filling and delicious way to start the day 😉 The locals even have it for lunch , dinner, supper or tea break!
