After a major network bidding war, Tina Fey and Matt Hubbard‘s untitled comedy has landed at Fox with a series commitment.
The multi-cam laffer is set at a women’s college that, for the first time in its history, begins accepting men.
Comedy marks a re-teaming for “30 Rock” producing alums, as Fey, Hubbard, Robert Carlock and David Miner are all on board to exec produce after their critically-acclaimed Peacock laffer came to a close earlier this year. “30 Rock” ran on NBC for seven seasons, and the quartet of creatives have shared “30 Rock’s” 2009 Emmy win for comedy.
Hubbard, whose writing credits include “30 Rock” and “Joey,” will pen the pilot for the college-set comedy.
Untitled Matt Hubbard laffer hails from Universal TV and Fey’s banner, Little Stranger. Project falls under Fey’s overall deal with Universal TV, a four-year pact that the “30 Rock” alum inked a year ago.
Fox’s current series produced by Universal TV, NBCU’s television studio, include “The Mindy Project” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
