Torrejón airbase is home of Ala 12 (12th wing); Escuadrilla de Circulación Aérea Operativa 1 (Airops Center 1); Grupo Central de Mando y Control (Central Command & Control Grp) and Grupo de Circulación Aérea Operativa (Airtraffic Control Grp)

- 12th Wing consists of: 121 and 122 fighter/bomber/recce/SEAD squadrons both with EF18 A/B (improved version).
- Airops Center 1 is located in an on base underground facility.

  • We stopped here in 1991 on the way to Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm. I was in the U.S. Army at the time. I liked the area.
