2022 will be remembered as the year that Pride came back – and what a comeback it was! The pumping parties, the beautiful people, the political atmosphere, and the sense of celebration in reuniting as a community: it was a year we will never forget.

But as the cold winter nights draw in and the summer memories of Pride begin to fade, we all need something to look forward to. The good news? February 2023 is looking to be the biggest and best Pride ever as Sydney WorldPride brings the famous celebration to the Southern Hemisphere for the first time.

That’s right, next year, WorldPride will be hosted in one of the gay capitals of the world, Sydney and it’s promising to be a mega Mardi Gras. As if an excuse to pack your sunnies and swimmers and visit the glorious land Down Under for an extended holiday isn’t enough, this unique 17 day event promises to be like no other, offering a festival with something for every member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Whether you want creative cultural viewing, inspiring activism activities, some family-friendly fun with the kids or just to dance all night long at a party, there’s something for you, with over 300 free and ticketed events to choose from. What will you do when you visit? Here are handful of highlights from Sydney WorldPride 2023 that we would recommend!
