The CZT will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show this September, and it will be part of the new CZ3 three-door range available as of 2005. Pricing hasn't been announced, but like the 5-door Colt, it will be competitive.
But will such a car, along with the regular CZ3 and 5-door Colt be competitive in North America? The subcompact and compact market is much more profitable in Europe, being that even entry-level cars cost a great deal more than anything similarly available in Canada or the U.S. For this reason automakers are leery of bringing Euro models across the Atlantic as is. Still, there's the strong argument of Mitsubishi's need to offer something in the subcompact category to fight against Toyota's Echo, Chevy's Aveo and the South Korean entry models.
