The international discount carrier will start with three weekly flights that operate on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

From June to September, the airline will increase its flight schedule to four weekly flights that operate on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Level will operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which seat up to 314 passengers, to complete its Miami-Barcelona itineraries, according to the airport.

MIA noted Spain was the airport’s eighth busiest international market in 2023 with more than 913,000 passengers.

“The new Barcelona-Miami route is a great step in Level's commitment to connecting Barcelona with distant destinations in America,” Level Chief Commercial Officer Lucía Adrover said in a statement. “We diversified our offer to offer an increasingly broad and robust product to our customers.”

Miami is the fifth U.S. destination where Level will operate long-haul flights. Level is a subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), a multinational airline holding company based in Madrid. The low-cost carrier was established in 2017.

The Spanish airline reports it typically offers one-way flights under $250.
