Article 377 of the United Nations Charter empowers the General Assembly to take action in any case where there appears to be a threat to peace, breach of peace or act of aggression when Security Council fails due to lack of unanimity among its permanent members. Invoking this article could bring an immediate ceasefire and potentially save countless of lives.
We urge world leaders and international bodies like UN General Assembly to invoke Article 377 immediately for ceasefire in Palestine. We cannot stand by while innocent people lose their lives every day.
