Millions of pound was used from public funds to build a link road from the M18 directly to Doncaster Airport only for Peel Holdings to announce its closure. Peel have waited till the link road is finished before announcing the closure.  Just like Peel did in Sheffield with Sheffield Airport they stand to make Millions of pounds just from the link road being built giving excellent access to whatever they have planned to do with the site. Peel wont accept public fundingto keep the site running but quite happytolet public funds to improve their bank balancewith the link road. This Airport is so important to the community and surrounding areas . If we don't have an Airport any public funds used to improve links and anything else should be repaid by the company that will possibly make billions out of the closure.
