One year later: Columbia's new airport terminal keeps most of its promises

A year after the new terminal at Columbia Regional Airport opened south of town, the city is still hoping to fulfill its promise to offer a more attractive option for area travelers.

The new terminal reaches its one-year anniversary Thursday, after adding more space, new gates, boarding bridges and work stations for airline passengers. The terminal cost $23 million and took 2½ years to build.
