Sole searching! Matthew McConaughey goes without footwear on Brazil family holiday with wife Camila and their children
He famously dropped 50lbs in weight this year to play a gritty role in Dallas Buyer's Club that has been tipped to earn him an Oscar nomination.
But it seems the experience might have brought A-list star Matthew McConaughey back down to earth.
Matthew, 44, was seen on holiday in Brazil with his family on Monday, without any shoes on his feet.

The actor and his wife Camila Alves and children Levi, Vida and Livingston were spotted around Belo Horizonte after having lunch at a local restaurant.
The family are in Brazil for Christmas visiting Camila's relatives.
As well as putting his feet up on the festive holiday, Matthew is taking his shoes off too.

When he returns from his holiday, he might be returning to the news of an Oscar nomination.
He has already received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture which can be an early indicator, as well as a Screen Actor's Guild nomination.
Matthew also fended off stiff competition from to win Best Actor at the Gotham Awards earlier this month.

The actor recently revealed that he was determined to get Dallas Buyers Club made, and his determination clearly paid off.
Matthew refused to take no for an answer when financiers refused to fund Jean-Marc Vallee's new drama about AIDS activist Ron Woodroof because he believed in the strength of the story and the cast, which also includes Jared Leto and Jennifer Garner.
He told Deadline: 'It was something that I had on my desk that I was trying to do for a while, but it wasn't popular enough for anyone to come up with the money. So we were like, 'Let's find the right team.'
'Usually the message that gets to me is, it's not for them. Period piece, AIDS drama? That one line hurt. I'm sure there were many desks where that one-liner was all they read. But there was a lot of talent that had been attracted to this thing for a while.'
