Bulgari brings the spirit of Rome to Istanbul Airport with new stores

The revamped outlets across Terminals 4 & 6  feature the Bulgari Allegra and Le Gemme fragrance collections and the Allegra Maxi Shelley scarf collection

Bulgari has put the essence of its home city of Rome at the forefront as it unveils refreshed corner stores at Istanbul Airport.

The outlets, which were created in partnership with Gebr Heinemann and Unifree, are located across Terminals 4 & 6 at the international hub and allow shoppers to “tap [into] the magic of Italy”, according to the luxury brand.

Italian design is at the forefront of the new-look stores, with Italian Pavonazzetto marble featuring on display units with designs which seek to echo the Roman monuments against a backdrop of saffron which evokes Italian sunsets.

A Bulgari spokesperson said: “Against the golden beige colour palette, the joyful colours of the fragrance collection and silk scarves shine with the boundless energy of Italy. The irresistible presentation invites guests to touch and smell the exquisite creations and linger.

“For a moment in Istanbul Airport, every traveller can soak in the Roman vibes and be whisked away by the exuberant emotions of the Italian lifestyle.”

The location of the new stores was chosen due to the historic link between Rome and Istanbul as key points on the famous Silk Road trade route. To build on this, Bulgari has created a series of experiences for shoppers in Istanbul; the dedicated Bulgari app allows shoppers to style a personal scent from Bulgari Allegra, while the Touch app introduces the inspiration and craftsmanship behind Bulgari Allegra Maxi Shelley.

Customers can also take advantage of gift-wrapping, mocktails inspired by Italian aperitifs, a customised note and some Italian Dolcetti sweets.

Bulgari Allegra features a combination of seven fragrances and six magnifying essences, which can be combined to create unique and personal fragrances. The collection inspired the creation of the Maxi Shelley collection of silk scarves, all five of which are crafted at the famous Lake Como. Finally, the new Bulgari Le Gemme collection features an evolution of the collection which first launched in 2014, with the 10 most popular eaux de parfum being launched in a new gender-free form.
