Louis Vuitton opens first store at Sydney Airport

It is part of the second phase of openings at the hub’s T1 International

Louis Vuitton has opened its first airport store in the southern hemisphere, and largest travel retail store in the world, at Sydney Airport’s new luxury precinct.

Passengers will be able to shop at the custom-designed space, that balances light woods and bright colours reminiscent of Australia’s sunsets. The stand-alone travel retail store offers a broad selection of premium women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, accessories, watches, jewellery and fragrances.

A Gentle Monster eyewear store has also opened at the airport, in addition to the unveiling of new Celine, Dior, Gucci and Valentino stores at the hub’s  T1 International terminal, marking the second phase of openings. These follow the arrival of Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Bvlgari, Hermès, Loewe, Moncler, Prada, Rolex and Saint Laurent earlier this year.

Sydney Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Mark Zaouk said: “I’m delighted to welcome six new stores to the luxury precinct in the second phase of our ambitious retail strategy to secure the world’s best luxury brands and deliver Australian firsts to passengers travelling through Sydney Airport.”

Exclusive to the airport, Gentle Monster’s eyewear collection is housed in a futuristic space featuring a large kinetic installation designed by the brand’s Robotics Lab, as well as an LED installation in the store façade showcasing art curated by the brand creating a visual experience for passengers.
