Milan Malpensa launches first luxury portal for Italian passengers

The Milano Malpensa boutique provides a dedicated luxury shopping offer for travellers

Shoppers at Milan Malpensa Airport can now take advantage of the country’s first dedicated luxury airport shopping portal.

The ‘Milano Malpensa Boutique‘ was unveiled by operator SEA yesterday to provide “an even more dynamic and digital travel experience” for passengers as the airport seeks to keep pace with the current demand for digital in the market.

The boutique forms a key part of the airport operator’s omnichannel strategy, allowing travellers to shop luxury brands before they arrive at the terminal. About 2,000 products are currently available on the site, including high-end items supplied by Dufry alongside international luxury names such as Mont Blanc and Etro.

SEA Director of Non-Aviation Business Development Luigi Battuello said: “The Milano Malpensa Boutique Marketplace is a project started before the pandemic, strengthened by the crisis that accelerate its development.

“Innovation, including in retail, is an essential part of SEA’s strategy to improve the overall passenger experience.”

Items bought on the new digital portal can be collected in-store at the airport on the day of departure. No registration is required, as passengers sign in using their personal details and flight information.
