Expensive to buy, but economical in the long run
I bought this battery to replace a lead/acid battery. I recently discovered the benefits of LiFePO4 batteries over most other types. While they're more expensive to buy initially, with proper care, they offer about 4-6 times the service life. That in combination with the greater safely usable capacity of about 80%, as opposed to about 50% for lead/acid, makes them a more economical choice in the long run. Compared to lithium-ion, LiFePO4 batteries are much safer. They don't have the risk of runaway extremely hot fire on impact of Li-ion batteries. Another big advantage of LiFePO4 over lead/acid is the much more consistent power output they offer over the full range of their usable capacity. Lead/acid is drawn down to a barely usable voltage fairly quickly when under load. LiFePO4 is drawn down to, but the voltage remains quite close to 12v, resulting in fewer low voltage alerts in use. I tested my 100ah battery with a 1000w electric tea kettle, a 700w microwave (on high for 10 minutes) and a 1500w induction cooker. All three worked perfectly. Couldn't be more pleased
My trolling motor battery (68ah) was shot and I decided to research lithium ion batteries as a possible substitute. I was unable to determine the power requirements of my trolling motor as it is close to 20 years old
But seem to recall it was a 40 amp motor.
I then thought about my normal fishing outings which are 2 to 4 hours. And I probably use the trolling motor approximately 1/2 the time and mostly 1/3 throttle or less. All this led me to believe that the 30 ah battery should be good for my normal fishing.
I researched lithium batteries and this unit appeared to be a good fit at a good price.
Order was shipped promptly and the battery looks to be of good quality, and was well packaged. I had no problem installing it using my existing wiring, and the small size and weight were very welcome.
To date I have went out twice. The first outing was short about 1 1/2 hours after which the battery remained at full charge, the 3 amp charger did not indicate any charging.
The second outing was about 2 1/2 hours and this time the charger did indicate charging and I checked it 4 hours later and it was indicating full charge.
At this point, this battery has met all of my needs, so I am very happy with it.Read full review...

Battery has good capacity and operates better than the AGM lead acid batteries. Light in weight and low self discharge. Needs the proper charging circuit. Used for solar backup very good value.

Battery falls short of rating
I have tested these batteries and they fall below 12V after 24ah and goes below 11V after 26ah. Test done after making sure batteries fully charged. Test done with a 11ohm load drawing a current 1.2ah. The battery falls short of the 30ah rating. Read full review...

SIMPLY GREAT...you will need a lithium charger for a Amigo cart upgrade as the the Lithium batteries need a higher voltage to fully charge. A lithium charger is only $15.
