Beautiful early Victorian antique white Irish lace bodice, 1850's wide scoop neck dress top, Jane Austen style empire waist open lace blouse.
This amazing Irish lace bodice dates from around the 1850's with it's wide scoop neckline to show off the decolletage.
A tape stay is sewn to the bottom to keep the hem from stretching out of shape.
With a wide scooped neckline trimmed with a dainty scalloped edge, the whole top is a large floral design with sollid flowers and an open swirl design between the flowers.
Long fitted sleeves have 5 tiny flat pearl buttons and loops at the wrist, with 7 matching ones fastening the centre back, along with 2 tiny press studs at the collar.
Measures approx 45cm from shoulder to shoulder, 32cm across the waist, 49cm across the bust and a sleeve length of 59cm from neck to cuff.
Condition
Perfect, one of the best conditions I have ever seen a lace top in.
