1. FS2004 Scenery--London Heathrow 1946-1955

   FS2004 Scenery--London Heathrow 1946-1955, UK. The site upon which the airport now known as London Heathrow was built was acquired by the British government by compulsory purchase from Fairey Aviation in 1944. Thereafter development continued apace and in April 1955 terminal buildings and a control tower in the central area came into operation. Prior to that the terminal (which continued in use as the North Terminal for some years) had been on the northern boundary of the airport immediately adjacent to the Bath Road. This scenery represents The London Airport, as it was then called, in this first phase of its existence, that is between 1946 and 1955. You will also need the FS2004 Custom Scenery Library now in version 4 which is available from Tom Gibson's California Classics site and the EZ Scenery Library (EZ_1.ZIP). By Ken Lawson.

   FS2004 Scenery--Merrill Field PAMR 2016 V1, Anchorage, Alaska (AK), USA. This V1 version of Merrill Field 2016 adds windsocks, a parked Fedex 727 that was recently donated to the University of Alaska, some missing taxiway lights, and makes small corrections to the apron layout. It also includes 5HO and 9Z9, and revised AI to include flights to 5HO. Hope 5HO is a small gravel strip southeast of Anchorage in the Kenai Peninsula, on the southern side of Turnagain Arm, and Lawing 9Z9 is a small gravel strip to the north of Seward on the corner of Kenai Lake. Please note that the instruction to add the AFCAD bgl to the Addon Scenery/Scenery folder should not have been included in the 2016 installation instructions as the bgl is now not required, and in fact should be deleted from any previous PAMR installation.    FS2004 Scenery--Merrill Field (PAMR), 2016 in Anchorage, AK, USA. This 2016 version of Merrill Field deals with a spectacular malfunction reported by one recent downloader; see the two screenshots. There is new signage, and also other changes and additions. Merrill Field is in Anchorage Alaska, between Anchorage International and Elmendorf Air Force Base. It caters for general aviation and is the land equivalent of the Lake Hood float plane base, with fuel and numerous maintenance facilities, and several hundred parking spots for small planes. There are three runways, and the longest is 4,000 feet of 100 feet wide asphalt. It is a controlled airfield with a relatively new control tower to cater for the numerous flights and to coordinate with Elmensdorf, Anchorage International, and also Lake Hood and the adjacent gravel strip Z41.The enclosed layout shows the runways and the taxiways complete with their assigned letters to help you find your way around.    FS2004 Scenery--Seward Airport (PAWD) in Alaska (AK), USA, V1 mod. V1 presumes you have already installed the first Seward (SEWARD_AK.ZIP). V1 revises the texture used on the new port area, slightly tweeks the AI routing for the marine AI, and includes the name of the cruise liner so that you can download it; "Asuka". Only the cruise liner is available on flightsim; the Alaska ferry can only be found with the Alaska scenery by Holger Sandmann and if you have that then the ferry will appear. The revised texture for the port area matches winter ground textures much better, by far. The texture irself is not white, it is a similar color to FS2004 roads and so works for all seasons. Add the scenery bgl's to the original scenery folder and say yes to replace. Add the texture bmp to the original texture folder. Download the liner. By Roger Wensley.

   FS2004 Scenery--Seward Airport

   FS2004 Scenery--Seward Airport (PAWD) in Alaska (AK), USA. The town of Seward is on the east coast of the Kenai Peninsula, 70 miles east of Kenai town and also 70 miles southeast of Anchorage, amid mountains and glaciers at the northern end of the 20 mile long and fjord-like Resurrection Bay. It is also at the southern end of both the Alaska Railway and the Seward Highway, and has a sheltered dock for freight and also for cruise liners. Liner passengers can enjoy local attractions (dog sledging on a glacier?) and also easily continue further north to other tourist attractions such as Denali. The airport is next to the port and the town, with two runways aligned in FS2004 15-33 and 12-30, both asphalt and 2,100 and 4,200 feet long respectively. Only 12-30 is lit, with VASI on 30. There are no regularly scheduled flights to Seward. There are some charter flights coordinated with cruise liners, and some freight flights, the very occasional visit by the Coast Guard, but most flights are GA or short scenery-viewing trips for summer tourists. There is marine AI from and to the port, in the shape of a cruise liner and an Alaskan ferry (in the case of the ferry, only if you have Holger Sandmann's Alaska scenery installed).     FS2004 Scenery--Tho Xuan Airport (VVTX), Vietnam. This is add-on airport scenery of Tho Xuan Airport (VVTX/THD) in Tho Xuan, Vietnam. Flight plans i.e. Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific, call for an airport with VV01 as the code. Flight planners, please note: Tho Xuan Airport is a joint civilian-military airport. VV01 is not an ICAO code, but is assigned to the military part of this airport by the Vietnamese government. Commercial and general aviation traffic would use VVTX as the code. This VVTX project is a quickly made rendition of the real world counterpart, using ADE9. Never-the-less, Google Maps was used to place the airports position, as well as for locations of taxiways, etc. Taxiways signs were added throughout the airport. It's not fancy, but it is better than nothing at at! Tested with AI traffic. By Curt Jardey.

    FS2004 Scenery--Kenai PAEN and others in Alaska (AK), USA. The town of Kenai is on the east coast of Cook Inlet, 60 miles southwest of Anchorage. The airport is in the northern part of the town, with an asphalt main runway aligned 1-19, 7550 feet long and 150 feet wide (with an ILS on 19). The second runway is 2000 feet of gravel that gets no winter maintenance and is for ski planes. There is also a water runway. The taxiways are extensive and designed for a far larger traffic than the airport has today, though even now the airport is fairly busy. Airlines and cargo companies that operate from and to Kenai are included in the AI: ERA (which has recently changed its name), Grant Aviation, Air North, Wings of Alaska, North Star Air, and a small local company Air Supply Alaska, along with Fedex, UPS, Everts, and Northern Air Cargo.
