Found it! The Sex and the City belt

An ex BF of mine had kind of a punk streak: Morrissey-inspired hair and one particularly dangerous black leather belt that I hated because of its medieval torture-device like pointy metal studs. Eventually I banned the belt from my apartment and years later, we broke up (not over the belt). But thanks to Sex and the City: the Movie, the studded belt is back. And no surprise, right? Costume designer Pat Field has always taken her cues from the street kids on St. Marks Place. Her knack for taking those looks high-end and mass market is, no doubt, what's earned her such success in the business. Fellow Glamour staffer Kristin Koch was so in love with Carrie's belt, in fact, that she obsessively surfed the web to find one that's almost identical. (Remember, studded belts may be a dime a dozen, but it's all in the details). What about you? Have you ever spied an item in a movie or TV show that you just had to have--and were you as successful as Kristin in finding it? --Jenny
