InsuranceDekho, an Indian Insurtech brand headquartered in Gurugram, has recently launched ‘SWRA – She Will Rise Again.’ The initiative is dedicated to empower women returning to the workforce after career gaps.
Focused on women with at least a year’s career break, the initiative aims to provide equal opportunities, rights and remuneration to ensure fair treatment and acknowledgment in the workplace.
It was inaugurated by Mary Kom, a boxing icon who successfully made a comeback after a career break. It served as an inspiring example for women seeking to re-enter the professional arena.
Apart from ensuring equitable pay and opportunities, SWRA includes training sessions to help participants overcome preconceived notions, boost confidence, reposition their candidacies, and navigate the corporate landscape with assurance.
Standing for ‘She Will Rise Again,’ it reflects the brand’s commitment to supporting women on their journey back to work. As part of a long-term commitment to empower women, InsuranceDekho plans to conduct this initiative annually, aiming to hire and train at least 10,000 women returning from career breaks, by 2030.
In its pursuit of nation-building, InsuranceDekho, currently operational in 98 per cent of Indian pin codes, aims to become a supportive partner to talented women across the country through SWRA, leveraging its extensive presence. The company is set to become a supportive partner to exceptionally talented women across the country, allowing them to realise their full potential, while also furthering its goal to reach 99 per cent Indian pin codes.
This initiative also aligns with the theme of the 2024 International Women’s Day, ‘Invest in Women’, by eliminating barriers for women who have taken career breaks, thereby contributing to gender equality and empowerment.
Commenting on the programme, Divya Mohan, CHRO, InsuranceDekho, highlighted how women leave their work due to several reasons ranging from family responsibilities to health concerns and how they fear that they will not be able to reclaim their previous position in the corporate world after a break. Speaking on its aim, she further added, “SWRA will focus on their psyche and instil the confidence they need to navigate the corporate world more effectively.”
Ankit Agrawal, CEO and founder of InsuranceDekho, also added, “At InsuranceDekho, we ensure our women professionals are offered ample growth opportunities in their careers.
With ‘SWRA’ we will focus not just on hiring more women with career gaps in our workforce but also on training them in the right way so that they can continue to climb the corporate ladder effortlessly.”
