As the world’s largest climate fund, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) accelerates transformative climate action in developing countries through a country-owned partnership approach and use of flexible financing solutions and climate investment expertise.

The Green Climate Fund internship program provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. We encourage qualified people, in particular, nationals of developing countries with diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds to apply. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Fund and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment.

The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GCF's operations and provides a USD $1300 monthly stipend, free transportation card, free global insurance. For those who will join outside of the duty station Incheon, Korea, the round trip ticket will be covered by GCF. GCF sponsors the work visa in Korea.

To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in a Master's or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate
  • Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Fund's work
  • Possess an excellent command of English
