Dublin Airport is set to add 23 new food and drink outlets to its current offering over the course of 2024, completing a five-year transformation of its food and beverage options.

Work already started on some of the new premises this week, and it will continue throughout the year, pausing only for the busy summer period.

By the end of the year, there will be 42 different outlets spread across the airport’s two terminals. So, what’s being added and where exactly will the new eateries be located?

Terminal 1

A “world-class” food hall will be created at Terminal 1, featuring new Korean and Thai options for passengers, as well as a new Arthur Guinness Bar and a large Italian restaurant.

The new additions to the food hall will be:

  • Pret A Manger, selling ready-to-go fresh food and drinks

  • Nomad, which offers lots of choices for vegetarians

  • Street Kitchen, offering authentic Mexican street food

  • Cantina, a Mexican bar

  • Bluebird Coffee Roasters and Wine Bar, which will replace the former Starbucks outlet

After security at T1, the following outlets will be added or extended at the gates:

  • Jump Juice on Pier 100 will be made bigger

  • Cuan Cafe and Bar will be added at the 200 gates, replacing Leopold

  • Lillian’s Restaurant and Bar will replace Soma at the 300 gates

Landside at T1, a new Insomnia cafe will replace the former AMT outlet in the arrivals hall.

Terminal 2

Further improvements are planned for T2 in 2024, following the opening of The Mezz last year. The new additions will include:

  • Fitzgerald’s Restaurant and Bar will replace the Oak Bar and has been described by the airport as “a blend of boutique hotel foyer meets classic club VIP lounge”

  • Supermac’s and Papa Johns will move into the unit previous occupied by Wright’s of Howth

  • Roasted Notes Speciality Coffee will open landside in T2, replacing Cafe Nero

  • Butler’s Coffee shops are set to be extended in both T2 and T1

“Passengers are in for a treat in 2024 with a whole host of exciting new additions and improvements to the already fantastic line-up of bars and eating places in Dublin Airport,” said Vincent Harrison, chief commercial and development officer at Dublin Airport Authority.

“These enhancements build on the many new outlets we have opened and improved in the terminals over recent years, which are going down very well with passengers.

“We've listened closely to passengers and have heard loud and clear that they want more choice, including more gluten-free options, and by working with our partners, we are going to offer them more variety than ever before.”
