HAYDEN, ID. -- A pilot was taken to the hospital Monday morning after crashing his twin-engine Cessna 310 plane at the Coeur d'Alene Airport-Pappy Boyington Field.

Chris Larson with Northern Lakes Fire Protection (NLFP) said the pilot had been doing a looping series of landings and takeoffs from the field when the crash happened about 9 a.m. It was not clear if the pilot was taking off or coming in when he crashed.
