Fits I wore in Japan!

My recent trip to Japan brought along many opportunities to wear some clothes that I usually wouldn't be able to in Singapore due to weather limitations. So here is my little lookbook from Japan with a few details about each fit:)

1st outfit:

I wore this from Changi Airport to Osaka International Airport which meant that I had to prepare for cold weather while making sure I still feel comfortable in Singapore’s warm weather. I opted to pair a dark brown long sleeve shirt with a leather jacket and black parachute pants that I got from @honsieponsie! I really loved how the textures worked together between the jacket and the shirt and of course I had to throw on a few vintage rings from my grandma and a mid-tone necklace from @the__rockery just to add a little spice to the fit!

2nd outfit:

Now this whole fit was a STEAL. I found this Polo cap for JUST $2 at the second hand clothes market in GR.iD and it worked really well with the dark colours of the jacket and the pants, giving it a very monochrome look. I also found this North Face Jacket for $8 from @thecommonersmarket but the fit ran a bit long so I used this little hack where I bundled up the sides of the jacket with a rubber band and tied them up tight before rolling it in wards, essentially sectioning off a bottom part of the jacket to be folded in. It worked perfectly, giving the jacket a baggy, cropped look that went perfectly with the parachute pants from outfit 1! (it is always a good idea to reuse pieces of clothing in your wardrobe:))

3rd outfit:

This whole fit is made entirely up of hand me downs from my dad and the warm tones of the sweater, chocolate coloured pants and dark brown boots (pictured in the next slide) really tied this fit together. The patterns and mix of maroon, blue and dirty mustard on the sweater made it a statement piece that not only draws focus to itself but also complements the rest of the fit so well. Paired this with a wooden necklace from @the__rockery again and a vintage metal watch and rings from my dad and grandma to add small accents of details to the fit. Lastly, I had my trusty sling bag from Gregory that is such a good quality bag. Spacious, sleek and easy to match, it is truly the perfect bag for my daily essentials.

4th outfit:

I decided to wear some of my new purchases from GU and the quality and fit of the pieces are so worth it for the prices. (Do rmb to check out GU if you ever go to Japan!) I loved the coat because of the way it builds the silhouette of the fit and perfectly brings out the proportions of my body, making it a great staple for when you go overseas to cold countries. What a steal for $60 I almost ended up wearing it every day. As for the accessories, I went with a slightly louder piece as the rest of my fit consisted of blank staples. I chose this spider dzi pendant string necklace that I got from @the__rockery too and together with my dad’s old chelsea boots, I had myself a classy-looking outfit perfect for winter.
