And it's a wrap on our panel "Charting the Course: Building New Businesses for a #Sustainable Future"! 🌎 We had an insightful discussion with our speakers Valerie Chua from EDBI Pte Ltd; Guillem Segarra from Wavemaker Impact; Priyanka Mukherjee from Nupo Ventures and our very own Harald E., moderated by Lynette Lee (Huma.eco), who share their varied approaches to building and investing in #ESG and sustainability focused businesses. Here are our key takeaways: 🌱 Approaches to #Building: 1) Start with seasoned founders pivoting into the climate space and find their "#ikigai"; 2) Conduct market research and identify relevant problem statements; 3) Explore potential solutions; and 4) Validate with clients, partners and potential investors. 🌱 #Scaling sustainable ventures: Consider the significance of unit economics, willingness to pay for technologies, and the right incentives. 🌱 Wrapping up the conversation, our panelists also expressed their hopes for #COP29 - including the need for clarity on international guidelines around carbon credits, transition finance, and overall, a shift towards more practical implementations, transparency and greater regulatory support. Today, we hosted over 200 friends and partners at our Securities Market Open ceremony celebrating International Women's Day. This event was part of the 10th Annual 'Ring the Bell for Gender Equality' initiative by The World Federation of Exchanges, which promotes gender equality and women's empowerment across workplaces, marketplaces, and communities.   Our CIO, Tinku Gupta, welcomed our guests and struck the gong to inaugurate our securities trading day. She was joined by Huey Lin, our Board Director, and IWD partners: - Trina Liang, President of WISE Singapore - Women in Sustainability and Environment, - Deborah Widjaja, Founding Board Member & Champion of Women Venture Asia, - Katia Daude Goncalves, Country Manager, IFC - International Finance Corporation, - Georgette Tan Adamopoulos, President of United Women Singapore.   The ceremony was followed by two enlightening panel discussions:   1. Investing in Women: Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow Moderated by Lin Lin (formerly Evlin), CNBC Reporter, this panel discussion brought together eminent women leaders in green technology and sustainability. They shared their insights on sustainable solutions, challenges in green tech, green financing, and promoting gender equality in a male-dominated sector.
