In 1940, when Louie Pool was five years old, he moved to this land in Pottawatomie County. He remembers standing in the yard with his father a year later as a well was drilled. That site was eventually abandoned, leaving behind a structure and concrete for over 80 years on the property Louie and his wife Carol still call home. Thanks to voluntary funding from today's oil and natural gas producers, the land was restored, and work was completed on his 87th birthday! The people of Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas celebrate Earth Day as they work to preserve Oklahoma's natural beauty, like they did for Louie and Carol.
