BREAKING The FAA has cleared United Airlines to recommence certification activities, including introducing new aircraft and routes. The FAA audit of United Airlines, known as a CHEP (Certificate Holder Evaluation Program), is ongoing. CHEP audits usually occur at 5- to 7-year intervals at U.S. air carriers and traditionally last anywhere from 3 to 12 months.

United Update: United Airlines is rumored to be the customer behind Airbus' announcement that an "undisclosed" customer ordered 51 A321neos in April. Per SEC regulations, United Airlines must disclose significant capital expenses to shareholders quarterly. If United Airlines is the customer, an announcement would likely come ahead of their Q2 SEC filing. As of October 2023, United Airlines had 180 A321s on order. Details: https://lnkd.in/g7qpp2Vv

BREAKING The Senate has outright rejected the last-minute Age 67 Amendment introduced by Senator Lindsey Graham (R). Today, the Senate formally passed the final version of the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act. The House has until May 17th to pass the final, bipartisan, Senate-approved version of the FAA Reauthorization Act. House and Senate negotiators have already agreed to the final language, reconciling differences.

1yDid I read that right? A 3rd year captain only makes $80/ hr more than a 3rd year FO. Com on United, reduce some of your over paid and under worked executive staff. Without flightt crews you have nothing but a bunch of metal on the ground. Just my two cents!
