As it comes to a close, the last three weeks here in BC with its cycling community has been incredible.
I have spent plenty of time out here, but getting a much closer look at the investment of people’s energy and time, their hospitality and dedication to the supporting a healthy cycling culture in the region has been inspiring.
There is a lot to reflect on and follow ups to do from the all conversations with a host of amazing people and brands, who align in their desire to improve the sport, lower the economic barriers to participation, strengthen diversity, and create better pathways to grow and develop as a cyclists, both competitively and recreationally.
I leave for the airport happy to know we’ve raised more money for athlete programs, and taken some exciting steps in building cycling’s future.
