Dropped into NZMA's new purpose built campus in Hamilton yesterday to see how students and staff were finding their new home that opened its doors two weeks ago. Inside and out the place is looking brilliant! The 1600m2 downstairs includes a training café/kitchen, bar and barista classrooms, retail class, floristry and a pharmacy laboratory, in addition to nine traditional classroom spaces. The 420m2 upstairs that will be completed later this month includes two large commercial training kitchens that can each accommodate 20 student chefs. Many thanks to the team that brought this project together and out of the ground in a very quick nine months - special thanks to: Tony McLauchlan of Fosters Development; Alastair Druett and Paul Fletcher of Foster Construction for going above and beyond to deliver a great looking building on time, Chris Steffert and Lisa Curtin of Greenstone Group (Great PM's in the Waikato Region); Dominic Buckell, Constanza Lledó and Kelly West at Chibnall Buckell Team Architects; and Stephen Barnett and the team at Southern Hospitality Ltd. A big thanks to Renske van Geffen (NZMA Campus Manager) for her insights through the design process to ensure the fitout met student, staff and programme requirements. This is just very inspiring! I really believe the environment and facilities plays a big part in a student's learning, and hearing about how the organisation devotes its time and resources just speaks volume of how true your goals really are.. Keep up the good work NZMA/ACG team! Want to see more of how it looks inside!! :)

It is a state-of-the-art facility! NZMA is investing substantially in the future of Hamilton and the Waikato region, upskilling locals to be future leaders in their fields. 5yIt is a magnificent place to work. The Hamilton staff and students are so appreciative of all of the efforts of the senior leadership team in putting together the business plan to make this happen.
