Yesterday one year later, the second Diamond DA 50C arrived in the Belgium register, at Gill Aviation, I like my job 😉

Since December 2007, 15 year working at the Belgium CAA, a short history of the 15 years After one year training and formation, starting as airworthiness inspector at the general aviation (from a small Tipsy Nipper till Cessna’s, Piper’s, Beechcraft, Robins, Socata’s, Cirrus, … to Pilatus PC-12/47). It’s still a long way to build up the knowledge and experience of all those different aircraft. (Training PART-147/ Part-66 at Pratt & Whitney PT6A-series -, PW 206, 207 turboshaft -engines, Engine training of Lycoming -, Rotax -, TCM - engines, …). At the end of 2011 starting up the project about the BCAA responsibility for the Belgium manufactured Stampe SV4, searching’s about the Stampe SV 4 history, drawings and relevant information, in collaboration with the Stampe & Vertongen Museum, Belgium SV4 maintenance facility RAR, CAA UK, DGAC France and many ex-military pilots and mechanics of the Stampe SV4. I get the “carte blanche” from BCAA General aviation technical direction Mss’ Nathalie Dejace & Mr. Tim Rimez to work out the SV 4 project with my chief Mr. Luc Van den Cruyce. Finally on the 8th of October 2016, @ the Stampe & Vertongen museum (EBAW), we issued the brand new ICAO CofA for all OO-registered Stampe SV 4. I’m still updating the complete renewed SV 4 series “100h/ Annual inspection schedule. Will be next year updated! Since September 24, 2017 with the issue of the new National Royal Decree about Historic aircraft, performing the import and the annual inspections of many historic Aircraft: Pilatus P2-05, Spitfire MK XVI, Hawker Hurricane MK IV, Hawker Furry MK 11, serval Yakovlev YAK-52’s, North American Trojan T-28B & T-28C, AT-16 Harvard MK IIB, Texan AT-6D, two DHC-1 Chipmunk MK 22, Replica Yakovlev YAK-9UM, two Pilatus P3-05, … But unfortunately the pilot and very Beautiful Hawker Hurricane MK IV was lost in a fatal accident! Besides that, 2022 was also a very busy year with the import of Diamond DA 42 M-NG & two Diamond DA 62 MPP (North Sea Patrol), Diamond DA 50C, 2x Robin DR400, several Piper Cup PA-18 series, … and following up some restauration project of vintage aircraft. Looking forward to 2023 …. to continue my passion job

One of the last operational R.A.F. DHC-1 Chipmunk T.10 modified to civil model MK 22 arrived into the Belgium Vintage fleet last week, “OO-WPB” referring to the previous R.A.F. markings. Performed the import inspection, and a professional collaboration with the maintenance facility FAST bv (Flying Aces Services and Training) at EBBT.
