News from our funds’ development facilities: The European Fund for Southeast Europe Development Facility (EFSE DF) and Green for Growth Fund Technical Assistance Facility (GGF TAF) are supporting Ukrainian businesses through the flagship grant initiative 'Ukrainian Business in Action'. Congratulations to the winners – 24 SMEs and Greentechs were awarded grants totaling nearly €1M. The project is part of 'Stand with Ukraine' program aimed at supporting the business continuity of EFSE DF and GGF TAF’s partner institutions and local businesses. The program winners include 17 Ukrainian SMEs with strong potential to generate income, sustain jobs, drive innovation, and contribute to the development of their community. The businesses will leverage the grant support to launch new product lines, modernize, relocate and increase exports. The seven Greentech winners provide innovative solutions to improve the user experience with waste management application, launch a new e-bike model, enable improved efficiency of a renewable energy-focused company, enhance IT security of e-charging stations and more. One such beneficiary is Releaf Paper, producing paper from fallen leaves to minimize carbon footprint. The grant will help the Greentech receive Forest Stewardship Council certification and implement marketing activities, supporting its expansion into the EU market. We are proud to support these impactful winners! Finance in Motion, GGF TAF, EFSE DF and our partners remain committed to further supporting Ukrainian MSMEs and Greentech ecosystem, contributing to a more sustainable and greener business recovery.
