First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Monkgogi Mogorosi as the Director of Retail, effective 1st March 2023. Monkgogi Mogorosi joins FNBB from Letshego Holdings Limited, where she was the Head of Group Digital Mall and led the team that delivered the digital strategy for the Letshego Group. Before that, she served as Product Owner - Digital Banking Programs for Standard Chartered Bank in Africa and the Middle East regional office. Monkgogi has over 18 years of retail banking experience, most of which was spent managing various retail banking products and segments. She started her banking career with Standard Chartered Bank Botswana as a Product Development Officer for Deposits, where she was also part of the bank’s international graduate program. She later served as Head of Retail Banking Products, looking after all retail banking products for Standard Chartered Bank Botswana. Monkgogi has also worked for Standard Chartered Bank Zambia, where she was Head of Client Relationships, managing branches, ATMs, and the contact centre. While at Standard Chartered Bank Zambia, she also held the role of Head of Retail Banking Products and Segments. Monkgogi is not new to FNBB, she has previously worked as the Retail Segments Manager, where she played an instrumental role in introducing retail subsegments, and she has also managed the bank’s credit card division as Head of the First Card Division. Monkgogi is a Finance Degree holder from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, USA, with a Master’s in Strategic Management from the University of Derby, Great Britain U.K. She also has a Digital Business Strategy certification from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MA, USA and a Management Development Program certificate from the University of Stellenbosch, Stellenbosch RSA.
