This year, on October 24th (UN Day), we are focusing on the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), along with the theme “Equality, Freedom and Justice for All”. #usaforun#unday#responsibility2protect
The United Nations Charter – which entered into force 78 years ago today – is rooted in a spirit of determination to heal divisions, repair relations and build peace.
We are a divided world. We can and must be united nations.
The UN is a reflection of the world as it is – and an aspiration of the world we know it can be.
It is our responsibility to help build that world of peace, sustainable development and human rights for all.
I know we can do it.

As the #international#community commemorates this great anniversary,it is time for us to revisit some salient issues which have shaped the life of the planet earth. The modern UN's achievements could be attributed to the current Scribe for his immeasurable efforts and determination together with his tireless team. But much still need to be done .First and foremost, the non-respect for rules of war,non-interference,véto powers of permanent member States of the security council,Refugees and Internally displaced ,Climate change etc,are some of the areas which need greater attention . Secondly, there is a need for a new global agreement for the fight against terrorism which is at the ambit of much debates today when we see children and women falling prey. This new age is equally that of reflections on international trade and barriers which continue to stifle commercial transactions between countries worldwide..etc...#Happy#Celebrations to all Men and Women scattered all over the world contributing their own token in their own spheres to the attainment of the SDGs.

We can and must be united, for peace, for human rights and for the climate : this is all connected.
The combined lack of access to water and food, and rising temperatures and heat in the Middle East are part of the underlying causes of the current conflict situation.
We need to rebalance our relationship with the Earth, rebalance our relationship with one another: we are all One, One big family of humanity living on the same Planet, One Earth. We are the Earth, this is where we come from and where we will return. The only way out of the conflict is in ourselves, seeing ourselves as part of the same Living System, through open dialogue, compassion and forgiveness.
It is not about “us” and “them”, it is about all of us together co-creating the conditions for a more peaceful world and a climate safe future for all.
