Surprisingly, these incidents often occur during the day, in sections that are well-visible, even when the intervention vehicles' signaling equipment is active. Unfortunately, distractions such as smartphones and GPS devices contribute to these accidents, as they can cause drivers to become drowsy or lose focus. ASECAP, the European Association of Operators of Toll Road Infrastructures, places high priority on road safety for both motorway workers and drivers.
