The Arab League, officially known as the League of Arab States, is a regional organization of Arab countries in and around North Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Middle East. It was formed in Cairo on March 22, 1945, with six members: Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. Its main purpose is to promote closer ties among member states, coordinate their policies, and protect their common interests. The League has played a significant role in shaping political, economic, cultural, and social programs designed to promote the interests of the Arab world. The Arab League's objectives include the strengthening of ties among member states, the coordination of their policies to achieve a better future for the Arab world, and the safeguarding of their independence and sovereignty. The league has also been active in addressing regional conflicts, supporting peace initiatives, and promoting economic cooperation among member states. However, its effectiveness has been subject to various challenges, including internal divisions among member states, differing political agendas, and regional conflicts that have sometimes limited its ability to act cohesively. #arableague #arabian #arabianleaders #saudi #saudiarabia #qatar #bahrain #kuwait #uae #dubai #oman #pakistan #egypt #ksa

As Syria’s rehabilitation into the Arab League is underway at the Arab Summit in Jeddah today, amidst a rise in tensions and a shift in power dynamics in the Middle East, calls continue to mount for the U.S. to hold the Assad regime accountable in a return that in my view is merely the beginning of a movement, not an end. As the journey towards resolving Syria’s crisis begins, and the U.S. response evolves with time, the direction of the resolution to the crisis in Syria will take time for procedures to be implemented, and it will be gradual, and likewise the U.S. response will be mended with time, to include renewed measures, as evaluated in the context of these broader strategic interests and ongoing efforts to address regional challenges, and the prospect of progress towards ending the conflict. #USA #Syria #Lebanon #SaudiArabia #Jeddah #Washington #ArabLeague

#ICYMI A Saudi Arabian delegation met with the Houthi movement in #Yemen's capital #Sana'a, part of an effort to end a war that recently entered its ninth year. The move comes after a Chinese-brokered fledgling detente between #Riyadh and #Iran, which backs the Houthis. A post-#shabbat post about Judaism and our Arab neighbors: If you see some of the actual videos coming from Arab leaders, what they cannot comprehend is why Israel is 𝒏𝒐𝒕 killing all the local "Palestinians"! Why are we 𝒏𝒐𝒕 doing what other leaders like the Assads (killed millions), Hussein (Iraq - millions, even Jordan's Hussein killed tens of thousands of PLO), Erdogan (Turkey, hundreds of thousands of Kurds, and millions of Armenians). The list can go on and on. The rule of the Middle East is that of Power and Strength. Death and Destruction. Likewise, Putin killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Chechnya, without the world caring. So why isn't Israel just flattening Gaza, with all its inhabitants? The answer lies in Abraham of the Bible - the same Abraham that the Muslims accept as their forefather as well. In the #Bible (#Torah), when God tells Abraham that he will destroy the "unforgivable" cities of Sodom and Gamorrah, Abraham pleads with God saying that if there are 100, or even 10 innocents there, shouldn't they be saved? God agrees - but the story says that there weren't even that many. We Israelis follow that precept. If we thought that 𝒂𝒍𝒍 Gazans were "evil", then we should perhaps follow our neighbors. However, not only do we 𝒏𝒐𝒕 believe that - but we do not believe that we have the ability to judge like a God. This is a part of #Judaism - not just Religious Jews, but Secular ones as well. If you're protesting against Israel - perhaps you can pour your energy into thinking of ways to make the Death Cult Jihadis (Hamas, ISIS) to "put down their swords" (another Biblical term). If the local Arabs want #peace - we will give it to them. Israel signed peace agreements with Egypt, Jordan, the UAE and Bahrain (soon Saudi Arabia?). It 𝒄𝒂𝒏 be done! We want it - they don't. And if they truly believed in Allah/God, then they shouldn't be at war with their brethren.

There is no future for the radicals..... Everyone who wants to claim the territory exclusively for themselves will only find war, violence and destruction, whereas the moderates at both sides hold the key to peace by non-violent interaction and dialog as equals with each other. This brings mutual understanding and empathy; only this path leads to replacing fear and hatred by trust and solidarity, and to prosperity for all by solving the conflict forever. Radicals will become speechless www.convergence.ngo & www.pax.ngo

Who is Hamas? Is Hamas interested in establishing a Palestinian state? Does Hamas have the support of the Palestinian residents? This short video answers all these questions. If we only add that the main patron and financier of Hamas are Iran and Qatar, we will also understand which interests it really serves.

Al Jazeera Media Network in Arabic highlights fighting in Northeast #Syria is due to corruption, mismanagement. The article highlights the War of Terrorism has been continuously manipulated to empower Kurds, over Turkmen and Arab tribes in Northeast Syria. And for separatism purposes, which means the creation of a new nation. I think this perspective is ignored in Western media. It has truth in it. https://lnkd.in/d8EQ_gc2
