Today marks International Women’s Day 🎉 In celebration of this we all got together to watch a global panel discussion hosted by our US colleagues, with input from employees across the globe. Some thought provoking discussions around how we can support our female colleagues and below are some of my key takeaways… 👭🏻Embrace your female colleagues and support them as if they are your sisters, not your competition ♥️ Give recognition where it’s deserved 📣 If you witness scenarios where valid thoughts/ideas from your female colleagues are brushed off or ignored, speak up 👨👩👧 Recognise that women have many other challenges outside of work - be that health, caring for family members or financial - simply being a friend that listens and showing empathy/support can mean a lot

As we celebrate International Women’s Day , I find myself reflecting on my journey—one intertwined with resilience, tenacity, and a commitment to breaking barriers. My story, rooted in vibrant Latina heritage, develops over decades marked by transformative change. Choosing the unconventional route as a Latina in the US Army at a time when women made up less than 9% of the active duty force and were scarcely present in the technology field, I wholeheartedly embraced the military as my learning environment. This journey not only sharpened my technical aptitude but also strengthened my resilient spirit. Unfortunately, my military career also added additional hurdles to overcome. Much like so many fellow veterans, I carried the lasting burdens of mental and physical trauma. The challenges of balancing the demands of a progressive career with the responsibilities of motherhood only deepened my determination to break stereotypes and redefine the possibilities for women in leadership. My professional journey has been enriched by working with global companies, providing opportunities to interact with people from diverse corners of the world and explore places beyond my imagination. Despite dedicating most of my career to the private sector, my commitment to service remains firm. Becoming the first Latina council member in Duluth was not a personal triumph but a testament to the transformative power of diversity in shaping community narratives. As we celebrate Women's History Month and International Women's Day, let this narrative stand as a celebration of every woman's ability to redefine her destiny, irrespective of societal expectations. Together, let us amplify the voices of women who have shaped history, each story contributing to the mosaic of progress and empowerment. To the resilient Latinas, the trailblazing veterans, the dedicated mothers, the servant leaders, and the visionary leaders—may our collective journey inspire generations to come. Here's to the strength that resides within us, the bonds that connect us, and the endless possibilities that await the women who dare to dream. We will also be sharing updates on formally launching Radiance Leadership LLC, a significant achievement for us as we continue to support advancing the career potential of Asian women. Highlights from the JWI Conference 🌟 As a proud member of Jewish Women International (JWI)'s Board of Trustees, and their Young Women's Impact Network representative, I am thrilled to reflect on the resounding success of our annual conference in DC last week, which, for the first time in the conference's history brought together women of all ages under one roof this year. Thank you Meredith Jacobs and Rachel Levin for your leadership to make the weekend a success! ✨ Unity Across Generations: The conference served as a powerful platform where women across ages converged, fostering a spirit of unity, collaboration, and shared empowerment. It was a testament to the strength found in collective experiences, especially during a time when so much is virtual. 🌐 Elevating Voices, Driving Change: Throughout the day, powerful discussions unfolded, highlighting shared commitment to advocacy, change, leadership, and more. Attendees explored diverse perspectives on critical issues, emphasizing the impactful role women play in driving positive transformation. 💼 Navigating Career Journeys: Insights into career navigation, self-advocacy, and the pursuit of purpose resonated across the conference. Women from various professional backgrounds and levels exchanged stories, fostering an environment of mentorship and mutual support. 🌺 Fostering Holistic Well-Being: From discussions on economic empowerment to wellness and health, the conference embraced a holistic approach to empowerment. Speakers shared valuable insights on achieving balance, purpose, and well-being in both personal and professional spheres. 🌍 Building Lasting Connections: Beyond the enriching discussions, the conference provided, as it always does, a unique space for organic networking and connection-building. Women of all ages engaged in meaningful conversations, forging connections that will undoubtedly extend far beyond the event itself. This is the power of this conference!
