My client, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, LA will be the first to provide MRI adaptive radiation therapy in the state. We installed an Elekta Unity within an existing vault. This project required an extensive amount of remodel, but creative efforts of the team has produced a great result.

Through FLASH, a better view of the tumor with MRI in eye melanoma, fewer fractions in head neck cancer and the start of proton therapy for cervical cancer, we arrived at possibilities for the future, again with FLASH and other types of particles.
