I hadn't flown this route for years so it was time to fire up the simulator and take the Robbie from Thames to Waiheke past rangitoto over Whangaparaoa Peninsula through to Kaipara fly overhead Ruawai then in to Dargaville. No Map, No gps (I'm under VR) amazing how the memory recalls the journey and landmarks 😎
