Join us on March 16, 2024, for our #MaybeNextTime Summit. The goal of our summit is to strengthen research and evidence to build an understanding of the disparities and challenges faced by racialized and religious minority communities, specifically for Black women and girls. The event will feature insightful discussions, presentations, and entertainment all in the name of promoting and facilitating access to justice for Black girls and women. We're also happy to share that Kayla-Marie Williams, M.S. will be hosting! Together, we say "there shouldn't be a next time" and pledge to eradicate the victimization of Black girls and women. Do not miss out! Get your tickets here: https://lnkd.in/gjCe-_Fa

"...far too few people beyond other Black women and femmes care about our victimization or the energy we expend struggling against injustice." What will it take for folks to not use our ideas and strategies without crediting us or centering injustices against us? Should Black women, girls and femmes give up on expecting anyone other than us to care? Is solidarity even a meaningful goal if folks continuously fail to cite our labor and center our marginalization? The problem we endure is one of constant erasure. For example, the origins of anti-rape activism in the U.S., although largely attributed to feminist activists in the 1970s, date back more than 150 years."... examining the conditions in which harm thrives...compels us to care about, prevent and address harm outside of a punitive context through investment in areas like #nonprofit #education, #health, #housing and #employment, areas in which Black women, femmes and girls combat notable #bias, #disparities and #inequities.https://https://lnkd.in/gpFw-4_n

We live in a world where injustices abound particularly for Black women. Whether it's a woman experiencing mistreatment at work that causes her to take her life or a woman's voice being ignored while in labor injustices are rampantly high for Black women. As the CEO & Founder of Holistic Living Consulting, I envision a world where Black women experience equality in every aspect of life. Until that day I will work to provide the tools needed to transform our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. #justiceforall #freedom #blackwomenmatter

"Advocacy for Black women has been a crucial movement recently, gaining more momentum and attention. This advocacy aims to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by Black women and fight against the systemic racism, sexism, and discrimination that they often face. Despite these challenges, Black women have been instrumental in driving social change and significantly contributing to various aspects of society. From civil rights activists to influential figures in politics, business, sports, and entertainment, Black women have played a vital role in shaping the world we live in. As we stand in solidarity, let these words inspire our collective effort: 'When we empower Black women, we empower humanity.' Together, we can create a world where every Black woman's voice is heard, her potential realized, and her dreams celebrated." -KMB #KMB50 #BlackWomenAtWork #InclusiveWorkplaces #MicroaggressionsAtWork #EmpoweringBlackWomen #DiversityAndInclusion #LeadershipDevelopment #EquityAndGrowth #YoungLeadership #Education
