UMW Toyota Motor sees uptick in the 1st quarter of 2022 sales

Malaysia’s top non-national automotive brand sees a positive growth in its performance for the month of March. Recording a total sale of 8,386 of Toyota and 101 of  Lexus, UMW Toyota Motor continues to be encouraged for the year ahead. Sales for the year-to date are expected to continue in this upward trend, with the total sales for the quarter being at  22,447 units.  

Numbers for the month of February were recorded at 6,432 while March sees sales at 8,487. Month-on-month, sales achieved for Lexus in March is at 101 units, while for the previous month sales were at 66 units. While Toyota achieved 8,386 units sold as compared with 6,366 in February, translating to 32% of increase in units sold.  

UMW Toyota Motor attributes its positive sales results to its ongoing March promotions offering  soaring rewards to its customers including value added benefits worth RM4,000 for Toyota best sellers such as Vios and Yaris. The automotive leader also anticipates further boost in sales with its  upcoming new product launches later in the year as Toyota continuously innovates to empower Toyota fans with mobility through the best value for money deals to its customers, along with top of-the-line security features and enhanced performance.  

Circumventing the global challenges on parts supply shortage, Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor said, “We are constantly reviewing and adapting to the changing circumstances and  uncertainties. Toyota has always been known for our proficiency in supply chain management and risk mitigation measures. Leveraging on these experiences, we are working closely with our  suppliers and monitoring the developments closely to ensure minimal impact to our production and our customers.”

WIN ‘DUIT RAYA’ AT TOYOTA’S BERSAMA LEBIH BERMAKNA RAYA CELEBRATIONS

Celebrations for the months of Ramadan and Syawal, with the theme, ‘Bersama Lebih Bermakna’, are underway with the launch of UMW Toyota Motor’s Pandu Uji dan Menang Duit Raya contest  from now until 1 May 2022. Toyota enthusiasts are encouraged to drop by any Toyota showroom  and test drive any Toyota model for some ‘duit raya’. Each test drive is a contest entry to win ‘duit  raya’ worth RM100 while a test drive and successful booking stands a chance to receive RM200 ‘duit raya’. A total of 30 winners will be selected to receive ‘duit raya’ weekly.  

In addition, Toyota will continue their ‘Bersama Lebih Bermakna’ celebrations at their joyous Ramadan Weekender on 16th and 17th April at all Toyota outlets nationwide. Toyota customers can indulge in great ‘bulan puasa’ deals and value added offers at any Toyota showroom throughout Malaysia, aside from experiencing the joy this festive season brings.

BRINGING THE TOYOTA BRAND CLOSER TO CUSTOMERS IN CYBERJAYA

Operated by Otomobil Sejahtera Sdn Bhd, the centre will have complete facilities consisting of sales, services, along with spare parts. This is just another way for UMW Toyota Motor’s way of providing ease and convenience to their customers.
