Does anyone know from which version of the game these skins are applicable, please?

I'm happily messing about with V.4.10.1m (still) and, having loaded them into the game, they are working as well as my old eyes can be made to perceive.

The only anomalies I can see are the "straps", so to speak, towards the rear of the exhaust, just in front of the leading edge. Please note that I'm not being critical, as this might be be down to a function of the skin on the 3D model and nothing to do with the skills of Hayate.

These are without doubt an excellent skin set overwriting, as mentioned in the read me, his previous efforts seamlessly.

Yes there is not much to be done about these straps: they are a part of the cowling which are re-used there.
Not a specific zone of the skin so it's either you skin the cowling and you get these straps, or you skin the straps and you have a glitch on the cowlings... Sad

Hayate,

thanks for the pretty skins.

Can't find evidence of a "Fernaufklarungsstaffeln 121" whose skin "7A+KH" you included inside your pack, into "Desert schemes" folder; there's historical evidence only of a "Fernaufklarungsgruppe 121", sporting same identification code (7A).

Do you have photographical evidence of the livery you depicted for "7A+GH" in the same folder mentioned above? It looks like all Ju 88 of that squadron had an overall "Sandgelb" camouflage. Mind you, it's not that I don't accept fantasy skins, but since your work is labeled "historical", I would just like to know if this is an exception. Thank you.

Last but not least, most of your skins have space (blanks) in their filename, which make them as they are unusable by DGen: not a big problem to fix their names, nevertheless I would just highlight this to you.

Regards,
GB

Greybeard

To be honest, I have not gone through the same research that I did nine years ago when I did the first skinpacks for the Ju-88 (time flies...)
This time I just re-did them after correcting the template to take into account the modification on the 3D model.

And although I try to keep a lot of the material I dig into when I decide to do some skins for public release, I don't have the will nor the time to go through everything again.

Though I had a quick look at my documentation and I found two different profiles from the same skin "7A+KH" and it is said to be aircraft of 1.(F)121 and 1St(F)121.

So 9 years ago I must have read somewhere that 1St(F) stood for Fernaufklarungsstaffeln because otherwise I don't think I would have bothered writing the whole unit name in the name of the skin...

And you might be very right that it in fact stands for Fernaufklarungsgruppe.... I honestly do not remember

As for the second skin you mention "7A+GH" it is not a fantasy skin (although in facts it's for a D-1 model - recon plane, not an A-4, but at the time, as we did only have the A-4, I used it to stand for all... So not so historical :)...)

But as I am starting again some research on the Ju-88 to take care of the other versions of the plane, I have come across another camouflage description which is based on RLM 79 sprayed on top of the standart green splinter, while the information I had at the time was green RLM80 sprayed on sand RLM 79... I will have to investigate furthermore

I sometime do non historical skins, or generics, or based on profiles that I am not sure of, but then I usually say about it.

I would have preferred that you wrote your post nine years ago. It would have been easier for me to answer... Smile
Sorry about that !

Hope you enjoy the skins anyway
I never use DGen and I don't know how it works but I will take your remark about the blanks in the name into account.

Regards
Hayate

1St (F) 121 can stand for both "first" (in a bad English transposition) and for "Staffel"; but the common notation is 1. (F) 121, where one is the first staffel of the Aufklaerungsgruppe 121. There were Fernaufklaerungsgruppen, signed FAGr, but none with the number 121. I took all this from the following site:

1.(F)121 was in North Africa from November 1941 to the final defeat of the Axis forces (April 1943).

Here follows a couple of profile I found, the first sporting the same bad notation you mention (source for both is wp.scn.ru):

and the second a "D" but still with overall sand livery:

Of course! I put them in my latest update of "FliegerKorps Afrika" DGen campaign.

Cheers,
