ETHAN -- Class B's 10th-ranked Dakota Christian boys' basketball team shot 52 percent from the field in its 60-44 win against Ethan Friday.

Dakota Christian (11-3) was led by Mitch Vander Pol, who scored 17 points. Lee Niewenhuis added 17 points and Jake Spoelstra had nine points and eight rebounds for the Cadets.

Jordan Connor had a double-double for Ethan, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Jace Connor also scored 12 points and Blake Bartscher and Ryan Hanks each scored eight points for the Rustlers.

Dakota Christian plays Sioux Falls Christian in the Parkston Classic, while Ethan faces Woonsocket today at the Corn Palace in the Woonsocket Classic.

Wessington Springs 65, Woonsocket 48

WOONSOCKET -- Wessington Springs pulled away in the second half against Woonsocket for a 65-48 win Friday.

Wessington Springs (4-7) held Woonsocket (5-7) to 27 percent shooting. The Spartans shot 45 percent.

Ty Kenobbie led Wessington Springs with 19 points and Trevor Kenobbie added 15 points and six rebounds. Gus Gran had 13 points and nine rebounds.

Eric Warkenthien had a double-double for Woonsocket with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Davion Brooks led the Redmen with 12 points and Tyler Krueger chipped in 10 points.

Both teams play today at the Corn Palace in the Woonsocket Classic. Wessington Springs faces Plankinton and Woonsocket plays Ethan.

Platte-Geddes 45, Colome 31

PLATTE -- With a one-point lead at the end of the third quarter, Platte-Geddes held Colome scoreless in the fourth quarter for a 45-31 win Friday.

Matthew Randall led Platte-Geddes (6-5) with 14 points. Dillon Werkmeister followed with 10 points and Richard Sternberg scored eight for the Black Panthers.

Colome (6-5) got 10 points and six rebounds from Brock Dufek.

Platte-Geddes plays today at the Chamberlain East/West Classic against Belle Fourche, while Colome hosts Lyman Monday.

Wagner 75, Scotland 49

SCOTLAND -- Solomon St. Pierre's big game helped Wagner beat Scotland 75-49 Friday.

St. Pierre scored 27 points and grabbed six rebounds for Wagner (9-2).

Wagner shot 47 percent from the field and held Scotland (3-8) to 37 percent.

Wagner had 26 assists. Brennan Hilzendeger added 19 points for the Red Raiders and Brett Kuca scored 16 points.

Spencer Bloch grabbed seven rebounds for Scotland.

Wagner plays today against Clark/Willow Lake at the Parkston Classic, while Scotland is at Freeman Monday.

BONESTEEL -- Adam Fink's 24 points led Tripp-Delmont/Armour to a 70-34 win over South Central on Friday night.

Tyler Payer had 17 points and five rebounds and Jared Hermanek scored 10 for TDA, which is 12-2 and hosts Marty on Friday in Tripp.

Tyler Frank had 13 points and Derek Sachtjen added eight for South Central, which is 1-11 and hosts Corsica/Stickney on Tuesday in Burke.

KIMBALL -- Wolsey-Wessington's Heyden Hooks had 17 points in a 74-51 win over Kimball Thursday night.

Kimball's Jesse Taylor had 15 points and Ben Ashley and Trevor Reinesch each had 12 points. Reinesch added 13 rebounds.

Kimball was 18-of-49 from the field, 12-of-25 from the free-throw line and had 18 turnovers.

Wolsey-Wessington also won the JV game.

MENNO -- Freeman junior Paige Herrboldt scored the 1,000th point of her career in a 45-32 win over Hanson at the Cornbelt Conference tournament Friday.

Herrboldt scored 16 points and Dina Soulek added 15 points and six rebounds for Freeman (11-3).

Kendra Cheeseman led Hanson (8-7) with eight points.

Both teams play today in the final day of the tournament. Freeman faces Bridgewater/Emery and Hanson plays Canistota.

McCook Central/Montrose 36, Chester Area 26

CHESTER -- In the consolation semifinals of the Big East Conference tournament, McCook Central/Montrose beat Chester Area 36-26.

McCook Central/Montrose (7-4) held Chester Area to 25 percent shooting and the Cougars shot 30 percent.

Katie Johnston led MC/M with eight points and six rebounds and Karen Knudsen grabbed six rebounds.

Kaylie Eich scored 11 points for Chester Area.

Both teams play today in the final round of the Big East Conference tournament. McCook Central/Montrose plays Sioux Valley at 3:30 p.m.

LAKE ANDES -- Andes Central's big third quarter helped it past Bon Homme 53-46 Friday.

Andes Central (8-4) trailed 21-18 at halftime, but outscored Bon Homme (6-7) 19-6 in the third quarter.

Kellie Winckler had a double-double for Andes Central with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Morgan Flying Hawk led the Eagles with 18 points and Jenna Winckler scored 15 points.

Andes Central shot 47 percent for the game and held Bon Homme to 28 percent shooting.

Raquel Sutera led Bon Homme with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Both teams play Monday with Andes Central hosts Dakota Christian and Bon Homme faces Gregory at home in Tyndall.

Bethany LaDue led SBA with 15 points and had six rebounds and Tricia Wilken scored 13 points.

Jordan Rohrbach scored 15 points for Aberdeen Christian (1-10) and Jenny Palmer added 13 points.

PLATTE -- Third-ranked Corsica/Stickney pulled away from Platte-Geddes in the second quarter for a 54-46 win Friday.

Platte-Geddes (8-5) led 12-11 after the first quarter, but Corsica/Stickney (12-2) outscored the Black Panthers 15-3 in the second quarter.

Whitney Kuyper led Corsica/Stickney with 12 points and Cecile Burke added 10 points.

Platte-Geddes was led by Kami Meyerink's 15 points and six rebounds.

Corsica/Stickney plays Monday in Burke against South Central, while Platte-Geddes hosts West Central today.

MENNO -- Canistota came back to beat Menno 51-46 in overtime at the Cornbelt Conference tournament Friday.

Canistota (5-8) trailed 32-22 at the end of the third quarter, but tied the game at 43 in the fourth quarter.

Haley Jerman led Canistota with 10 points and Colleen Bevers scored 11 points. Kayla Marquardt and Carolyn Schroeder both grabbed seven rebounds for the Hawks.

Katelyn Kotalik led Menno (3-11) with 21 points and Courtney Kessler grabbed eight rebounds.

Both teams play today in the final day of the tournament. Canistota plays Hanson and Menno plays Marion.

MENNO -- Bridgewater-Emery defeated Marion 38-21 in the second day of the Cornbelt Conference tournament Friday.

Kianna Ibia had a double-double for Bridgewater-Emery (8-5) with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Kylie Hughes led Marion (0-12) with 10 points.

Both teams play today in the final day of the tournament. Bridgewater-Emery plays Freeman and Marion plays Menno.

AVON -- Fourth-ranked Parkston forced Avon to turn the ball over 22 times in its 60-49 win Friday.

Jenna Reiser and Marie Malloy both scored 12 points for Parkston (12-1) and Logan Wagner added 11 points. Malloy added six steals and six rebounds and Reiser had eight rebounds.

Lanae VanGerpen scored 15 points, Ariana Oorlog added 14 points and Chesney Nagel chipped in 11 points for Avon (1-10). VanGerpen added 11 rebounds and Oorlog had 10 rebounds for the Pirates.

Parkston hosts McCook Central/Montrose Tuesday, while Avon plays Tuesday at home against Menno.

WOONSOCKET -- Emily Olson's double-double helped Woonsocket past Wessington Springs 48-39 Friday.

Olson scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Woonsocket (7-4). Rachel Selland also scored 13 points and Kayla Collins added 11 points for the Redmen.

Woonsocket had 21 steals.

Traci Orth led Wessington Springs (3-8) with 13 rebounds and Meghen Wolter grabbed 12 rebounds and scored eight points.

Both teams play today at the Corn Palace in the Woonsocket Classic. Woonsocket plays Ethan and Wessington Springs plays Plankinton.

Erin Rabenberg led Mobridge-Pollock (9-1) with 25 points, Maddie Fredrick scored 20 points and Cassie Ulmer added 13 points.

Frankie Williard led Chamberlain (2-10) with nine points and Kennedy Wagner, Jaymee Knippling and Alex Pederson all scored seven points.

Chamberlain plays Tuesday at home against Platte-Geddes.

HOWARD -- The Howard girls' basketball team fell to Sioux Valley 59-24 Friday in the consolation semifinals of the Big East Conference tournament.

Howard was led by Sam Jungwirth, who had 10 rebounds. Erika Bamsey had six to lead the Tigers.

Howard shot 9-of-47 from the field, 7-of-13 from the free-throw line and had 22 turnovers.

Sioux Valley's Taylor Olson had 17 points.

Howard (2-11) finishes the Big East tournament against Chester today in Flandreau.

BONESTEEL -- South Central's Skyler Heyden had 11 points and Cheyenne Lambley had 10 in a 56-21 win over Tripp-Delmont/Armour Thursday.

Lauren Heyden had eight points and 10 rebounds.

South Central hit 56 percent from the field, 44 percent from the free-throw line and had 23 turnovers.

TDA was led by Hannah Just with eight points. TDA hit 33 percent from the field, 27 percent from the free-throw line and had 27 turnovers.

South Central (12-3) plays Kimball Tuesday.

PLANKINTON -- Plankinton's Katie Anderson had 19 points in a 45-37 win over Sanborn Central Friday.

Plankinton was 17-of-36 from the field, 11-of-17 from the free-throw line and had 10 turnovers.

Sanborn Central's Tatem Kingsbury had 13 points and 19 rebounds. Rachel Moore added 12 points for the Rebels.

Sanborn Central's hit 20 of its 65 shots from the field. It was 6-of-9 from the free-throw line and had 18 turnovers.

Plankinton (10-4) plays today at the Corn Palace against Wessington Springs in the Woonsocket Classic, while Sanborn Central (8-6) plays at Lake Preston next.

Dakota Christian (5-7) caused Tripp-Delmont/Armour (0-12) to shoot 23 percent and forced 42 turnovers.

Dakota Christian shot 36 percent and was led by Katelyn Lieuwen's 14 points and six rebounds.

Hannah Just led TDA with 13 points.

Sierra Miles scored nine points for McCook Central/Montrose.
