One local civic club will continue a tradition of community service and quality entertainment this weekend when members host their annual fundraising gala.
The Rotary Club of Lillington will host its 37th Cornelius Harnett Charity Gala from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. The annual event, named in honor of Harnett County’s namesake and Revolutionary War-era hero Cornelius Harnett, will move to its new location in the Harnett County Resource Center and Library at 455 McKinney Parkway. The gala has become known as the “county’s social event of the year.”
