Dr. Bernard and Mrs. Dorotheann Sadusky of Centreville announce the engagement of their son, Aaron Joseph Sadusky of Arlington, Va., to Anna Denise Burkart of Chevy Chase, daughter of Dr. William Burkart of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Swei-Ju Chang of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
Miss Burkart is a 1995 graduate of Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, as well as a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill.
She is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Cellular and Developmental Biology at the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases in Bethesda.
Mr. Sadusky is a 1995 graduate of Queen Anne's County High School. He holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from the United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., as well as a master's in international public policy in strategic studies from John Hopkins University of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. He is currently a major in the U.S. Army serving as an aide to the commanding general of the U.S. Army Human Resources Command in Alexandria, Va.
A Nov. 27, 2010, wedding is planned in Palos Verdes, Calif.
