FNB Botswana offers BONU members competitiv­e rates

First National Bank Botswana has secured about 8000 customers from Botswana Nurses Union ( BONU) as it signed a four year agreement with the members to offer members access to banking products at lower rates.

Through the partnershi­p, members will be able to apply for facilities such as Personal Loans, Home Loans and vehicle financing at competitiv­e rates. Speaking during the signing ceremony, FNB Chief Executive Officer Steven Bogatsu said in their continued effort of providing help and being a solutionis­t for customers, the bank decided to offer nurses who are members of Botswana Nurses Union ( BONU) a banking scheme solution which will enable them to have a convenient, safe, secure and affordable banking experience.

“Our health workers have demonstrat­ed true sacrifice in the face of the pandemic. They risk their lives day in and day out to ensure that we are taken care of. As a Bank, we have decided to offer nurses who are members of Botswana Nurses Union ( BONU) a banking scheme solution which will enable them to have a convenient, safe, secure and affordable banking experience,” said Bogatsu.

Bogatsu said members will also have access to digital platforms, convenient cheque and saving and investment options. On his Note BONU president Obonolo Rahube said they are happy to sign the agreement which took them about one year six months to conclude. “we have attained a great achievment with FNB as members will now have access to banking services at affordable rates. “this is what we are advocating for as the union. We want services to be brought closer to the people. It is my pleasure to say finally FNB has come to say how can we help you,” said Rahube.
