So that’s what £1m of our money gets you, Boris
BOJO’S VANITY PROJECT UNVEILED
BORIS Johnson will be on a bigger ego trip than usual after his newly tarted-up personal jet was spotted – complete with a Union Flag on its tail.
The RAF Airbus Voyager was snapped flying back to its base at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire yesterday after the £900,000,
paint job. The once grey aircraft, which is used by the Prime Minister and the Royal Family for international travel, got the makeover to “better represent” the UK abroad.
The shocking bill to revamp the jet was reported by the Daily Record last week – as figures were released showing Scotland’s economy had tanked by almost a quarter in lockdown, sparking fury from opposition MPs.
SNP MP Stewart McDonald said: “It is shameful that Boris Johnson resists calls to support struggling families – yet is intent on wasting nearly £1million to repaint his private plane red, white and blue.”
