HELLO FUTURE HOST

FAMILY

My name is Isela Guijon, I’m 24 years old, I’m from Mexico City.

I lived with my parents (Rita Aguilar and Benjamin Guijon) and my two little brothers
(Diego Guijon and Catalina Guijon) until 2019.

In 2019 I got a job in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. Living away from home with
new people was a challenge that helped me become more mature and to work hard
to accomplish my goals.
Currently, I am still working at Barcelo Maya Grand Resort as a concierge, where
additional to my job I do nanny services to the hotel guest that requires it. In order to
do such services, I had to do two certifications; the first one was first aids and the other
one was an evaluation that determined if I was suitable to care kids.

I am a cheerful, curious, disciplined, honest, empathic, persevering, and dynamic

person that seeks the positive things and the best solution to any situation. At the
same time, I am committed and willing to leave my comfort zone to achieve my
objectives because I consider that opportunities must be worked and don´t wait for
them.

On my free time I enjoy going to the beach, watching series, movies, listening to music,
attending concerts, are also some of my hobbies, I enjoy quality time with friends,
traveling and discovering new places, I think that this is a good way to create a bond
with new people and it also helped me to be more tolerant and empathic.

Spending time with my family is one thing that I enjoy the most although the distance
between us. Being the older sister, I learned to be responsible because I took care of
my brothers. I always tried to teach them to be organized, clean, and respectful
because in my home I was inculcated to corporate with the choirs because we are a
team.

Due that I took care of them at an early age, I discovered that I love spending time
with kids, I enjoy admiring their purity and essence that each one of them possess. I
consider that there’s nothing more sincere than goodness and love of a kid. Also,
feeling the affection and gratitude through their hugs is what makes me feel proud
during my job.

At the resort I’ve had the opportunity of taking care of kids of different nationalities
and ages that have generated my capacity of adaptation easily and the ability of
solving problems under pressure. Also, I consider that the patience of understanding
their needs and helping each one of them is an ability that I have strengthened the
most.

With the kids I have always looked for the way to have a good time playing, walking,
eating, or simply dancing in the room, even though I know that it’s not all games,
because I try to teach them positive things like being grateful and respectful with all
the employees and organized and clean with their belongings.

I like to share a little bit of the Mexican culture, some spanish words doing activities
like making piñatas or simply trying Mexican candy and food.
I want to be Au pair because living in other country with another family that has
different cultures and language will give me a personal and professional opportunity
to grow and I think that I can strengthen my virtues and create new abilities, at the
same time making new friends discovering new places and improving my English.

As an Au Pair I hope to be welcomed as another member of your family, to create an

atmosphere where we can all express ourselves easily, to have the security of being
ourselves, and to enjoy the experience of contributing positive things to your family
and learning new virtues.
