APN 3W: Taxi in/push-back shall be guided by follow-me.
APN 4: Enter/exit APN by own PWR shall be guided by follow-me.

GENERAL
ACFT RWY Incursion "Hot Spots"
"Hot Spots" are points on the AD surface where RWY/TWY PSN errors have taken place in the past. PSN
are flagged on the AGC. For information only, not to be construed as ATC instructions.
HOT SPOT No. DESCRIPTION
Intersections of TWYs E, F, T3, T4:
Proceed with extreme caution when operating near this area. Strictly follow
HS 1 ATC instructions. In normal situation, the departing ACFT leaving Terminal 2
shall use TWY E, and hold short out of T4 to avoid conflict. If taxiing into this
area by mistake, stop immediately and inform ATC controllers.
Intersections of TWYs A, B, T3, T4:
Proceed with extreme caution when operating near this area. In normal situa-
HS 2 tion, when taxiing via T3 to RWY 17L/35R and Terminal 1, ACFT shall hold
short out of TWY B to avoid conflict traffic. Because T3 and A2 are connected,
when taxiing into TWY A, pay attention to traffic situation and TWY guidance
signs to avoid RWY incursion.
RWY crossing area:
HS 3 / HS 4 TWYs P2 and P4 are the main TWYs for RWY crossing. When crossing RWYs,
strictly follows ATC clearances. Without clear instructions, any kind of RWY
crossing operation is forbidden.
Intersections of TWYs P6, A:
HS 5 Proceed with extreme caution when taxiing via P6 into A. Follow ATC instruc-
tions and TWY guidance signs to avoid RWY incursion.
APU
On boarding bridge stands: Use of APU O/R.
Use of APU without permission under following situations:
- Bridge equipment is not AVBL
- ACFT need APU to start-up ENG
- APU on MAINT
- Forecast temperature is above 35° C.
- Flight transition time is below 45MIN.
Engine Run-up Areas
ENG idle test and cool running test may be carried out at designated stands at APN 2, 3, 5 or 8.
Fast ENG run-ups near boarding bridges or on APN are prohibited.
Fast ENG shall be conduct at stand 418 on APN 4; ACFT shall face to north in normal situation. When
south wind speed more than 5m/sec, ACFT shall face to west PPR, and stand 417 shall not be used.
Warnings
Do not fly into restricted area ZS(R)559 NW of AD (urban area of Shanghai).

G1-G6, L04 (between B3 and B4), L09, L15, L18, L02.
Stands 24, 71, 75, 310, 314, 315, 320, 325, 328, 333, 338, 342, 343, 347, 612-614, 616-618.
A380 operating within the above area, shall taxi following ATC instructions.
2. Rules for areas with operational limits
TWY A (between P1 and P6) B (between P1 and P6), P1 (E of RWY 17L/35R).
When operating within the above area, A380 shall taxi following ATC instructions of follow-me and shall
obey the following:
- Arrival ACFT shall keep the outboard ENG (Nr.1 and Nr.4) in idle state after vacating RWY.
- ACFT equipped with ETACS (A380 taxiing camera system), keep it operational.
- ACFT without ETACS, offset TWY CL while turning and apply a bigger turning radius.
3. Areas not mentioned in item 1 and 2
A380 are strictly forbidden to operate within.
